Rabbanim heaped praise on the decision made by a singer to withdroaw from a concert ” Big Event”that had been scheduled to take place on march 9 in MSG. On Motzoei Shabbos, Mr. Lipa Schmeltzer signed a pledge not to sign at the scheduled concert.The pledge was made in the presence of Harav Yechiel Mechel Steinmetz, the Skverer Dayan of the Boro Park, in whose home the meeting took place, the Kossover Rebbe and Harav Shmuel Dishon.     I hope they are sued for breach of contract and tortious interference with a valid contract. Does Chadosh assur min Hatorah work only one way? Thes concerts have been going on for almost 50 years. One question: Does this mean that Esther Jungreis will be banned from speaking? If so, it proves every cloud has a silver lining.

    Loshon Harah and genaivah and a million other tyhings have been around for longer than that. Does it fall into “chodosh assur min hatorah” to ban those too? Not making a comparison, but that logic of yours is very, very faulty!!

    A question for rabbidw: Why publicly attack Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis? What in the world does she have to do with this concert conundrum? She is a holy woman who walks with the Almighty, has a heilegeh neshoma and dedicates her life to bringing Jews back to frumkeit.

    Please explain yourself and your despicable loshon hora.
