“Yeshiva World has just spoken to Lipa Schmeltzer (Motzei Shabbos 5:45AM EST) and he has informed us that he will not be singing at the “Big Event Concert”. This decision was reached after he consulted with Daas Torah, and talking to leading Gedoley Yisroel.Lipa Schmeltzer must be publicly commended for listening to the words and wisdom of true Gedoley Yisroel.Lipa now has decided to make a big change. He has decided to turn over a leaf, and will be changing his entire style of music. He has decided that he does not think that the current style of Jewish music is apropos for Frum people to be listening to.” TheYeshivaWorld.com

  • Do you think the ban of the Big Event will ban all future concerts also? For sureNo way everything will calm down soonWho cares I hate concerts anywayI hope not I love concerts  pollcode.com free polls

  • The Jewish Taliban have done it again! It’s time for us “proste yidden” to rise up, ,open the window and shout “We’ve had enough and won’t take it anymore!!” The Taliban should also re-read the Ramban on menuval bershus haTorah in Sedra Kidoshim.

  • I hope he is sued for breach of contract and has to pay all costs to the producer. See what Choshen Mishpat has to say about contracts and going back on your word. Yom Kippur is not mechaper for bein adam lchaveiro. And if these banning Rabbis are wrong? What will he say to hashem?

  • Very well said, Coachred613. It is time to speak out and put a stop to this outspoken wrongdoing! The rabbonim have committed a crime by forcing Lipa to withdraw from doing his concert!
All the children who have been listening to Lipa’s music and looking forward to his concerts will now go elsewhere - search to quench their thirst for good music outside in the goyish world!! What have the rabbonim or rather, the Taliban accomplished??? Far worse!!!
It is time to protect our youth and understand that today’s world has unfortunately changed and there needs to be a division that caters to those who need the entertainment — thus providing for that within a heimish, respectable atmosphere like a Lipa concert!!
Everyone, let’s make a petition and get it rolling. Let the rabbonim of today think twice before they ban events just like that for no serious reason!!

  • I agree with you regarding the Jewish Taliban. Just keep in mind how little these people really are. They know that everyday that goes by is closer to the truth being revealed and so they go on their power trips and cancel perfectly kosher concert for there own selfish reasons of feeling like a rov that make decisions. I truly can’t wait for the moshiach to finally arrive and show these rabbonim how foolish their behavior is. Stay strong in your own beliefs and don’t let them anger you into confusing real yiddishkeit (judaism) with real nareshkeit (foolishness)

  • The classical music of anti-Semitic Europe is Kosher.
Most ‘Jewish’ music today is based on rock of the ’80’s.

    But loud music is banned.

The Jewish Leaders are ignorant of the problem. Ban Lipa & the problem w/ Jewish youth will go away.

I am happy I didn’t send my kids to a chareidi yeshiva!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
