LIRR schedules extra service prior to Yom Kippur

The Long Island Rail Road is providing extra eastbound train service Wednesday afternoon in observance of Yom Kippur.Eight additional eastbound trains will leave from Penn Station between 2:09 p.m. and 3:48 p.m. for customers traveling home early for the Jewish holy day. They include trains on the Babylon, Port Jefferson, Port Washington and Far Rockaway branches. more information@mta.info
