“A monument for Jewish children evacuated from Nazi-held lands to Britain on the eve of the Holocaust, is unveiled in Gdansk, Poland, Wednesday, May 6, 2009. About 10,000 Jewish children were saved, thanks to the program known as Kindertransport, but most never saw their parents again. Many left from Gdansk, a city on the Baltic Sea that at the time was the Free City of Danzig. ” DayLife.com
“Lifshitz says he won’t rest until they reach every lost Jewish child. “Our motivation is simple. The Lubavitcher Rebbe said that the souls of their parents have no rest all the while their kids are unaware of their Jewish identity.” “ more@Lubavitch.com
