“A Jewish Moldovan lights the Hanukkah Menorah next to the Holocaust Memorial in downtown Chisinau, Tuesday Dec. 15, 2009. On Sunday, dozens of people led by an Orthodox priest smashed the menorah in Moldova’s capital, using hammers and iron bars to remove it. (Video) The 1.5 meter(5-foot)-tall ceremonial candelabrum was retrieved, relocated and is now under police guard.
