At least five people are reportedly injured after a car slammed into a building that houses a Chanukah workshop for children on Long Island, sources tell CBS 2. The accident happened about 3 p.m. apparently after an elderly man driving a blue sport utility vehicle drove straight into the building at 1052 Broadway in Woodmere, where the Chabad of Five Towns was hosting its “Chanukah Wonderland” workshop and funhouse. Sources say two of the injured reportedly are children, who suffered critical injuries. The other three injured victims were said to suffer serious injuries. It’s not yet known how the accident happened or what caused the vehicle to crash. Nassau County police and emergency units are on the scene.
