Amex allows credit card mortgage payments

American Express has signed up American Home Mortgage Corp. The AHMC deal is the first time a mortgage lender has agreed to accept monthly payments on a credit card, American Express said. In addition, the company said IndyMac Bancorp Inc. will sign up later this year. Card holders are required to pay a $395 sign-up fee. NewYorkBusiness.com
