Russia to Release 40,000 Kesovim
The Russian Government has recently contacted Russia’s Chief, Rabbi Berel Lazar, with an unprecedented offer to release the 40,000 Kesovim to the Chabad run Federation of Jewish Communities of CIS. Among the Kesovim, which were discovered in the archives of the Russian Army around 1995, are Maamorim of the Friediker Rebbe from 1920-1923 and 1929-1935 as well as letters, Shailos & Teshuvos as well as Maamorim of the Tzemach Tzedek, letters of the Rebbe Rashab, Maamorim of the Rebbe Maharash and more.Earlier this week members of Agudas Chassidei Chabad met to discuss the matter. Rabbi Berel Lazar was present at the meeting. Agudas Chassidei Chabad advised Rabbi Lazar to take the Russian Government up of the offer.
May it be Hashem’s will that the Kesovim will in fact be released and very soon after all the Seforim too IYH! Chabad.info
