R. Farkash Meets with the Mekubal, R. Batzri

Rabbi Yekutiel Farkash, a renowned halachic authority of Yerushalayim met with the Mekubal, Rabbi Yitzchak Batzri at the Hashalom yeshiva. COL learned that the meeting was arranged at the request of Rabbi Batzri, who wished to discuss the halachic books written by Rabbi Farkash, ‘Shabbas Kahalocho’, ‘Tahara Kahalocho’, ‘Klalei Hahoraa Vihaposkim’ and ‘Chol Hamoed Kihilchoso’. At the opening of the meeting Rabbi Batzri related about a Jew who was a great opponent of Yiddishkeit, but after studying chapter 32 of Tanya, the individual not only became observant, but had also been active in influencing entire crowds to embrace Yiddishkeit. The Rabbis discussed questions pertaining to Kabbalah and Rabbi Farkash quoted excerpts of the Alter Rebbe’s works on the month of Elul. At the close of the encounter, Rabbi Batzri blessed Rabbi Farkash and Rabbi Shmuel Levine, who had accompanied him. Col.org.il
