DNEPROPETROVSK, Ukraine – The Jewish community of Dnepropetrovsk hosted the launch of a new initiative – ‘Virtual Torah’ –. Through this initiative, Russian-speaking Jews will have the opportunity to access a new DVD every week featuring informative lessons on the Torah and commentaries. Each disc will contain an entire week’s chapter, divided into lessons for each day of the week. This dynamic new project will also be officially presented to all Russian-speaking Chabad Lubavitch emissaries attending their annual conference in New York, so that they may also share this collection of DVDs with members of their respective communities. “This is a simple and entertaining way to introduce Jews to Judaism, learning at their own convenience,” commented Chief Rabbi of Dnepropetrovsk Shmuel Kaminetsky.
